The Collection/Anthology of comics AARGH! Has been coming out for more than two decades. From a thin black-and-white fanzine, it has gradually evolved into a color-printed yearbook of one hundred and eighty pages, offering space and opportunities for domestic and foreign creators. It publicistically maps the past and present of Czech comic-book culture and also regularly presents current events of the surrounding European scenes. Last year's celebration of AARGH! 'S 20 - year existence had to be unfortunately postponed to this year, like many other events. So if you are wondering how AARGH! was born, how its inner workings function, or what we have planned for the future, come to meet its editorial office. Tomáš Kučerovský, Jiří Mitáček and Tomáš Prokůpek promised to participate.
The Fanzine Aargh! was founded by comic-book theorist Tomáš Prokůpek and illustrator Tomáš Kučerovský in 2000 (the name refers to Alan Moore's fanzine from the 1980s). It focuses on European comics and has also published a number of independent comic book authors (Jiří Grus, Karel Jerie, Pavel Čech, Jan Bažant) on its website. Each issue is thematically focused on a specific area of Europe, a specific topic or genre. Twenty issues have already been published.
